She leaves behind a legacy of strength, adventure, and deep love. She was born on August 22, 1956, in Morris, Illinois, to Richard Delmar White and Betty Christine (Murphy) White.

Greta “Jean” Hurtt, 72, of Diamond City, peacefully passed away at her home, on November 22, 2025, with her husband Larry by her side. She was born on October 1, 1953, in Batesville, the daughter of Jim and LaVada (Haggard) Barnes. A memorial Service honoring the life of Greta Jean Hurtt will be held on December 13, at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at Southern Hills Missionary Baptist Church, located at 178 James Way in Harrison.
