Wild Herbal Field Trip & Medicinal Plant Symposium Returns
Mountain View – The Ozark Folk Center State Park will host their annual Wild Herbal Field Trip & Medicinal Plant Symposium for students, practitioners and teachers of the herbal arts from October 18-20. The symposium begins Saturday, October 19 with lectures and demonstrations about beneficial medicinal plants by specialists who know, conserve and use plants. Attendees will learn to use Yarrow, the Herb of the Year, for home remedies with other wild herbs and taste wild foods in herbal lunches throughout the day. The symposium is required for participation in either of the field trips.
Friday Night Lights
The Yellville-Summit Panthers (Y-S) played host to the Berryville Bobcats Friday, September 20, at 7 p.m. in Panthers Stadium.
LEGION NEWS FOR VETERANS
The American Legion Post #61 of Yellville held its monthly meeting September 12, 2024. The meeting was called to order at 18:00 hours by Dustin Beals, Commander.
DATE SET FOR 2024 MOOSE LODGE GERMANFEST
Mark your calendars now! The Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 has scheduled its popular 16th annual GermanFest for Saturday, October 19. The menu will once again include sauerbraten, bratwurst, hot German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut, hot pretzel with apple strudel for dessert.

The North Central Arkansas Military Service Sisters will be holding their September luncheon on Friday, September 27, at 12 Noon. The location will be Skipper’s Restaurant, 711 Highway 5N, Mountain Home.
