Flippin CC Hears Criticism

FLIPPIN - On Tuesday, May 26, the Flippin City Council met inside the city courtroom at 6 p.m. to consider ordinances, resolutions, reports, and complaints from audience members. Lacie Bettencourt from Ward 1, Jodi Howard from Ward 1, Margaret Ott from Ward 2 along with the Heith Hogan, Mayor and City Clerk. Tony Ford from Ward 2 was absent from the meeting. Council members moved through the monthly minutes and city financials quickly by accepting both topics. The Flippin Fire Department delivered a report explaining calls answered and training by members of the department. The Flippin Police Department gave the numbers of stops, calls, arrests and training that took place, if any. The city council amended the annual budget for fire, sewer, and water by approving a resolution. Next was an ordinance to change the mayor’s position from full-time to parttime. UCA announces May 2026 Graduates

CONWAY - The University of Central Arkansas held May commencement ceremonies Thursday and Friday, April 30 and May 1, in the Farris Center on campus, conferring approximately 1,200 undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates from the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; College of Business; College of Education; College of Health and Behavioral Sciences; College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics; and the Graduate School.
