The Marion County Republican Committee will meet Thursday, August 11, 2022. The meeting will be held upstairs in the Marion County Courthouse at 7:00 p.m. The public and members are invited to attend.

Arkansas Weekly Gas Price Update
courtesy of Patrick De Haan, GasBuddy Average gasoline prices in Arkansas have fallen 17.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.57/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,826 stations in Arkansas. Prices in Arkansas are 68.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 70.3 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.

submitted by Tommy Johnson An old philosopher once said that “As you get older, time moves faster, and you’ll get slower.” That holds true except for the Y-S Class of 1972 who held their 50th Class Reunion July 29-30. Since graduation, the class of 48 graduates have lost 8 fellow classmates, but 27 of them along with spouses, and 5 others who did not graduate in 1972 but were a meaningful part of the class, moved rapidly to come together to remember, reflect, laugh, and enjoy.
Topwater Time
Most reservoir bass fishermen fish deep in the summer, trying to lure a lunker by bouncing jigs over ledges and rocks. But if you want to fish a topwater lure, there are places and ways to do it even in the heat of the summer.
Rain
We finally received some much-needed rainfall for our pastures. Is it a lifesaver for our forages? Only time will tell the true answer to that question.
