James Wesley Elsea, 77, of Yellville, passed away at home on July 17, 2025, with his wife and children by his side. He was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, on November 12, 1947, the son of Albert and Frances (Richardson) Elsea.

Linda Marie Alford, age 73, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Mountain Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 18, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Harvey and Mary (Mitchell) Ballard.

VA has announced a new policy limiting the display of flags at VA facilities, effective immediately. The policy is intended to establish consistency across the department and aligns with longstanding Department of Defense guidelines.

Jessie and Sarah Jefferson have hosted 17 exchange students from various countries over the years and have just returned from traveling to many of the countries they are from to visit their natural families. I have attached a photo of their experience. Through opening their hearts and their home, they now call each student they’ve hosted their daughter.
