SUMMARY OF OFFICIAL MINUTES OF THE COTTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING
The following members of the Board attended the meeting: Allen Franks, Jimmy Morgan, Russel Duggins, Luke Walker, and Cameron Ross. Administrators and other guests were also in attendance. The appropriate notice of this meeting was given to local news media as well as posted on the district’s website. Allen Franks called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Former MC Airport Treasurer Arrested for Stealing Nearly $118,000
On Monday, May 12, 2025, Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Special Agents arrested Douglas E. Starkey, 66, of Yellville, on charges of felony Theft of Property and Abuse of Office.
Arvest Foundation Awards $5,000 Grant to Support Special Olympics Arkansas Area 2
The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $5,000 grant to support Special Olympics Arkansas’s activities in Area 2, which covers Baxter, Boone, Marion, Carroll, Newton and Searcy counties.
