October 15 – 21 is National Friends of the Library Week

The Friends of the Marion County Library (FOMCL) encourages members of the community to stop in at our Library and discover all the things our library has to offer. There is a wide range of books of course, but there is also a large selection of DVDs, games, computers and technology. Our library has telescopes, fishing poles and many other surprises.

Beverly Copeland of Harrison

Beverly Jean Copeland passed peacefully into the comforting presence of the Lord, Monday October 2, 2023, at Harrison, Arkansas. Beverly was born on June 8th, 1959, at Memorial hospital, Yakima Washington, the daughter of Fred and Betty (Leslie) Copeland.

Tax Deadline Approaches

The Marion County Collector’s office would like to remind Marion County residents, taxes are due by October 15, 2023 (the 15th is on Sunday). Please check to make sure your Homestead Credit and current DAV letter is in place.

Moose Lodge hosts roast beef dinner

MOUNTAIN HOME - The women of Mountain Home Moose Lodge will hold a roast beef dinner fundraiser this Friday, October 13th from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The menu includes scrumptious roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggie, roll, dessert and a beverage.

Marion County 4-H Loves Their Volunteers

by Billie Collins, County Extension Agent Marion County 4-H is so lucky to have such a great volunteer base, the program would not be possible without them!! We want to celebrate all our certified club leader volunteers and all the parent volunteers who donate their time & effort to the advancement of our 4-H youth! Last year in Arkansas 4-H volunteers put in over 56,500 hours, valued at $1.5 million!!!! Now, that is something to celebrate! Marion County Certified club leaders include Glenda Rozeboom, Makala Rozeboom, Shelley Crombie, Ben Crombie, Stephanie Evans, Tristen McNair, Casey McNair, Jenniffer Gryder, Russell Stocksdale, Christiene Yancey, Amy Robins, and Catherine Reynolds.
