Mountain Home – The Baxter County Library Foundation’s Annual Texas Hold’em Tournament, Ante Up for the Library, will be held at the Big Creek Golf & Country Club on Saturday, July 30. Tickets are available for individual seats at $100, or attendees may purchase a table of 6 seats for $500.
Route 358’s tracks have that love for their craft feeling. You know these guys would be amazing to see live after hearing just a few songs “You almost itch for it.” Best known for bending and blending of Americana music, Route 358 has been touring for the past 6 years in support of their first two albums “Fragile Hearts,” which received national and international air play, and their 2020 release “Peregrination I,” which continues in that same trajectory.
Coming up at the Bull Shoals Theater the Arts is a new band to our stage. They are a local favorite in our area.
Buffalo National River Partners is pleased to be partnering with The Ozark Society in showing the Ozark Society film, First River: How Arkansas Saved a National Treasure. As part of the educational programming of the Buffalo National River Partners, the movie will be shown on Tuesday evening, July 26, 2022 at the South Campus of North Arkansas College in Room M143. The movie will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the location is 1515 Pioneer Drive, Harrison, Arkansas.
Little Rock – Two interest groups submitted petitions to the Secretary of State seeking to have two proposed constitutional amendments placed on the November general election ballot. One would legalize marijuana and the other would remove Pope County as a possible site for a gambling casino.

Now, the men and women who served in uniform during Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield will soon be recognized with a national memorial honoring their selfless service and sacrifice.

Little Rock – Once again, scam artists have targeted restaurants around Arkansas posing as Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) officials claiming to conduct restaurant inspections. Attorney General Leslie Rutledge is urging Arkansans not to fall for this scam, especially when the individual is attempting to demand immediate payment for declared violations.
The Leslie Williams band is a five-member band lead by Leslie Williams. They have been performing together for 17-years and cover tunes from the 70’s to current top forty. Classic/New country, Southern Rock, and Blues.
So, January is many things, but I think the word most people use to describe it is “long”. Yes, technically it’s tied for the longest month of the year with others but I’d like to see any other month look hard and long into the cold, grey eyes of January and see who blinks first.
