Soup Sisters Crazy Bowl Soup Luncheon

BULL SHOALS - The Soup Sisters eighth annual Crazy Bowl Soup Luncheon is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Octobers 25, at Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church, 1304 C.S. Woods Blvd. Pick out a soup bowl and sample any or all of six homemade soups, along with homemade bread, corn muffins, desserts and beverages. Then, take the bowl home with you. Cost is a donation to the ministry which provides soup to Hospice of the Ozarks staff, caregivers, clients and support groups as well as anyone who needs comforting soup.

FIELD IS SET FOR PBR TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP IN LAS VEGAS, OCT. 24-26

GLENDALE, ARIZONA – In a thrilling final day of the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series regular season, the Texas Rattlers beat the No. 1 Florida Freedom to clinch a first-round bye in Las Vegas after the Arizona Ridge Riders were stunned in their home finale, opening the door for Texas. In the must-win battle for a chance to secure the crucial bye at the PBR Teams league Championship, the Rattlers prevailed over the Freedom 345.25-172.25 to improve to 23-12 as Florida fell to 2510. Texas rode four bulls for the second-straight game, led by Brady Fielder (88.25 points on Rank Hank), Daniel Keeping (87.25 on Project X), Winy dos Santos (86.25 on Rafiki), and Claudio Montanha Jr. (83.5 on Hillbilly Heat). Elizmar Jeremias rode Malibu’s Top Dawg for 86 points for the Freedom.

ALC working for Arkansas

The Arkansas Legislative Council this week adopted a resolution urging federal leaders to take swift action to support Arkansas farmers amid mounting economic challenges. The resolution recognizes agriculture as the backbone of the state’s economy and a vital part of America’s food security, noting that many producers are struggling with high interest rates, unpredictable weather, volatile markets, and rising costs for seed, fuel, fertilizer, and equipment.

The Marion County Community Center Project folks are going to be out and about the month of October! Come see us at our booths at the Yellville-Summit Schools Fall Carnival, and the new Halloween On The Square (HOTS)! Marion County is the place to be in the fall! The Mid Marion County Rotary Club does afabulous job of organizing our longest standing fall festival, the Turkey Trot. Come talk to us at our booth on the south side of the square about the proposed community center, our floor plans, our programs, and our hopes for Marion County.
