As October 15, quickly approaches here are a few things to remember.

MOUNTAIN HOME – The Baxter County Library is excited to announce the addition of Pilestone Color Blind Glasses to its Special Collections, generously donated by the Mountain Home Lions Club.

A reunion of the members of 688 MAC and Co C, 489 th ENG BN is scheduled for October 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The reunion will be held in the Assembly Hall of the Camp Jack HQ, 411 S Pine St, Harrison.

The women of Mountain Home Moose Lodge will hold their monthly pot roast dinner fundraiser this Friday, October 10, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

The October dinner meeting of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association will be held Tuesday, October 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the old Yellville-Summit cafeteria. The meeting will be sponsored by Bank of 1889 and the program will cover our youth involvement.

Have you ever said to someone my stomach just in knots or “I’m all knotted up”. What we are saying is that we are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or emotionally tangled, perhaps we are carrying burdens and are facing multiple issues that feel difficult to untangle; essentially, it means someone is experiencing a lot of internal tension and anxiety.
