The proposed Marion County Community Center will provide comprehensive services including meeting rooms and disaster shelter areas in addition to the recreational programs. The plans call for varied sized meeting rooms designed for community organizations, business promotion activities, and education. Also, the facility will help with disasters by offering showers, temporary housing spaces, and distribution of food and supplies.
