The Leslie Williams Band open MOS

Hello everybody! The time has finally come to start music on the square in Yellville. We are beyond excited for the season. We have made some changes to hopefully make it better this year. We have great band lineups this year and are super excited about them. We will start at 6:00 p.m. and go on until 9:00 p.m. We do have a couple of nights we will start at 7:00 p.m. We have some great vendors this year along with some great door prizes. We also have stuff for the kids again.

2025 Memorial Day Program

Submitted by Geraldine Butts, Secretary The North Central Arkansas Veterans Council is again sponsoring the May 26, 2025, Annual Memorial Day Commemoration at First Security Bank Veterans Plaza 2000 in Mountain Home. It will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. The host organization is Alley White American Legion Post 52, Mountain Home with David E. Butts serving as Master of Ceremonies.

Presenting Abby, Alice and Bolt

The featured kitties this week are the last two female cats that were abandoned earlier this year at the Fairview boat dock. We featured their story in an earlier article and on our Facebook page. Out of the nine cats rescued, we have two females and a male left. The others have found homes (in pairs) as cared-for barns or shop kitties. These two girls would be perfect for the same living conditions. Abby is a black and white kitty and Alice is mostly black with just a little bit of white.

Paula Cole of Yellville

Paula Jo Cole, 66, of Yellville, passed away on April 29, 2025, at Baxter Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. On April 17, 1959, Paula was born in the small town of Garnett, Kansas to the proud parents Paul and Nadine Skillman. She was the third of five children.
