
James “Mike” Michael Williams, 63, of Yellville, passed away on September 18, 2025, at Baxter Health Hospital in Mountain Home. He was born on March 3, 1962, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the son of Carl and Ann (Smith) Williams.

COTTER – The Cotter School Board met Wednesday, September 17, at 5 p.m. inside the district offices for a Special Meeting to discuss a personnel item. Allen Franks, Jimmy Morgan, Cameron Ross, Andy Slater and Russel Diggins were in attendance as Mr. Franks called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m.

Allen’s grocery celebrated 71 years in business Thursday, September 18, by inviting customers in for HUGE deals. Allen’s Grocery received a visit from ESPN radio network bringing Phil Ellson and Matt Jones to broadcast live for the celebration.
BULL SHOALS - Allen Hurt is set to perform Saturday, September 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. Allen Hurt has been entertaining music fans since an early age and has written over 1500 original songs, known for his unique tenor vocals that would become his trademark sound. Over the years, Allen’s music has been featured on radio and television stations throughout the U.S. and Europe.
