
Charles Clarence Turman, 80, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, passed away September 19, 2025, at home. He was born March 2, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Charles and Nina (Lee) Mabee.
The monthly meeting of the Civil War Round Table of the Ozarks will be held at the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell, Springfield, Missouri at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
The cold front had stalled, and it was a brisk walk for the two boys on their way to school. Will got an early start, so the two could walk the bottom ground along Hog Creek, in hopes of jumpin’ a rabbit before school. Rabbit in the bean pot, and a nickle for the hide!
