SPECIAL COUNTY CONVENTION The special meeting is scheduled to be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 6 p.m., in the Yellville Annex Courthouse. The purpose of this convention is to elect delegates from our County Committee to the Special District Convention where Delegates and Alternates to the National Convention will be elected.

SCAM ALERT

Gregg L. Alexander, Sheriff Marion County Sheriff Gregg, Alexander is warning county residents the Sheriff’s Office has received citizen complaints of receiving a call from a person identifying themselves as a Marion County Deputy, and telling the resident they missed jury duty, and a warrant will be issued if an undisclosed fine isn’t paid.

Cotter School District has released the list of Honor Roll students for the third quarter of the school year. The school and The Mountain Echo would like to congratulate each student on the list. The parents and school are proud of these students. Students earning all A’s for Elementary School and followed by the Junior High and High School grouped together are listed first and followed by students with a 3.0 grade point average.

CSB regorganizes

Robert Lyons The Bull Shoals City Council met Thursday, March 28, in the Community Room at 6:30 p.m. Council members Wesley Phelan, Dale Forbus, Michael Castagna, Daryl Lindman, Joey Grede and Dino Giannini was in attendance, along with Michael Savu, mayor, and Tina Bailey, recorder. The council met to discuss city departments, discuss a resolution and an ordinance, discuss the purchase of equipment and listen to citizen comments.
