The Cotter Public Schools regular monthly meeting of its School Board convened on Thursday, July 18, Cameron Ross, Allen Franks, Russel Duggins, Luke Walker, and Jimmy Morgan, as well as school administrators and other personnel.

Flooded Flippin, Yellville and MC

Tuesday, July 16, the rain started to fall in Marion County in the late afternoon-early evening. These rains would prove to be a disaster for Flippin and Yellville by sweeping a house off the foundation, flooding business, residents and even a Senior Living Center.

FEMA Assistance for Arkansans Tops $5 Million

LITTLE ROCK – In a little more than one month, more than 5,250 Arkansans have applied for assistance from FEMA following the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding from May 24-27, 2024, and have been approved for more than $5 million to assist in their recovery.
