Douglas Wirth of Yellville

Douglas Norman Wirth, 69, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away on November 25, 2024, at his home. He was born on June 1, 1955, in Morristown, New Jersey, the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Talbott) Wirth.

Edith Biggs of North Central Arkansas

It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Biggs announces her passing on December 11, 2024, at the age of 70. Susan was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 26, 1954, to Joe Prichard and Merle King. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

MC Judge and MCQC Dismisses the members of the MCLB

The Marion County Quorum Court, MCQC or QC, met Tuesday, December 10, at 6 p.m., in the Marion County Courthouse to discuss proposed ordinances to pay for federal audit, fund the deputy prosecutor’s office and the Marion County Library Board Resolution.

Fulbright awards $4.9 million in scholarships

FAYETTEVILLE -- Local students were awarded scholarships this fall from the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. More than $4.9 million in scholarships was awarded through 1,855 scholarships to students in Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas this year.
