The Fleet Reserve Association Branch 251 monthly meeting will be on 15 February 2025, at the American Legion Post 52, 717 Market Street, Mountain Home, in the Auxiliary Room. We will have a BYO Bag Lunch at Noon and the meeting itself begins at 1:00 p.m.

Basketball season starts earlier every year because athletes begin training at the earliest time possible. The early training seems to help the players improve physical training, skills and mental training to prepare for the long grind of the season.

Alexander, Sheriff Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that a joint investigation between the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police led to the arrest of a Flippin man in the death of Alisha Marie Gauger (white/female born August 8, 1982). The Sheriff stated deputies, and first responders were called to a residence on Marion County (MC) Road 7057 in April 2024, after receiving a call from Michael R. Moore, who stated he found Gauger unresponsive in their residence. Deputies responded to the residence and called for Investigators, who processed the scene and collected evidence that included drug paraphernalia and other items associated with the ingestion of illegal narcotics.
