Due to extremely dangerous and dry conditions in Marion County and weather and rapid drying conditions, it has become necessary to ban all outdoor burning in Marion County.

Shirley Ann Wiles, 86, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully at her home on February 27, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Newport, Kentucky, on October 16, 1938, the daughter of Alred and Corine (Humbel) Bartlett.
