Yellville Masonic Lodge 117 Donates Bench to the City of Cotter
Yellville Masonic Lodge 117 would like to invite the public to come to Cotter City Park below the Old Cotter Bridge on Labor Day, September 4 at 11:00 a.m. Yellville Lodge will dedicate a custom-made bench, a likeness of the R.M. Ruthven Bridge, to our fraternal brother, Judge Roderick McKenzie Ruthven.

Quilt Appraisals
Alice McElwain will be appraising quilts at the Autumn in the Ozarks Quilt Show presented by Hill ‘N Hollow Quilters Guild on October 13 and 14, 2023 in the Educational Building at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. Each appraisal costs $50 and can be for insurance replacement value, fair market value, or for donation or estate purposes.
Hendrix Announces New Scholarships for Admitted Students
CONWAY — New first-year students admitted to Hendrix College for the 2024-2025 academic year will pay no more in tuition and fees than they would at their home state’s public flagship institution, as part of the College’s newly expanded Tuition Advantage scholarship program.

7th Annual Community School Update
The Flippin School District will hold its Annual 2023 Community School Update on Monday, September 11th at 4:30 in the HS New Gymnasium. The public is encouraged to attend. This informational meeting will cover the goal of Title I, Part A of the ESEA Act, parent rights, parent engagement, curriculum and assessment, and the district’s annual academic performance report.
