Harvest of the Season Promotional Program Announced

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce the Harvest of the Season promotional program, a free educational campaign that includes materials for schools to feature locally grown products in their cafeterias.

USDA Sets April 15 Application Cutoff for CSP Renewals

Little Rock – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resource Conservation Service is accepting Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) renewal applications through April 15. During the first half of the fifth year of the existing contract term, NRCS may allow a participant to apply and compete to renew their contract for an additional 5-year period. NRCS is mailing contract renewal notification letters to all participants whose contracts expire in 2022. These letters contain instructions on how to apply for CSP renewal.

Bring a Bit of Spring Indoors

Many gardeners are busy pruning shrubs to remove winter damage, control the size, or provide a bit of shaping before the season is well under way. Save some of the branches or cut a few from spring flowering shrubs to brighten your indoors. You’ll enjoy the added spring color provided by branches of forsythia, quince, pussy willows, and other spring flowering shrubs for bouquets and arrangements.
