The American Legion Post #61 of Yellville will host Coffee and donuts first Saturday, December 3, at 9 a.m. The event is open for all veterans.
The Marion County Library wants to let you know, there is not an opening date, but the library is offering curbside service. “We are in the building, answering phones and responding to emails; along with dealing with the damage of the flood.”, said Dana Scott, library director.

I have noticed, that over the past 18 months or so the quality of the Mountaineer Echo has increased significantly. honors donors, launches literacy endowment Mountain Home – The Twin Lakes Community Foundation (TLCF) announced the establishment of an endowment to support childhood literacy during its donor appreciation luncheon. The Early Childhood Education for Twin Lakes Area Endowment was formed in honor of the organization’s 20th anniversary.

We can’t help but be thankful that it was such a mild fall, but I refuse to be happy about the cold that has whacked us in November. But then, I am happy to see a good number of ducks arriving from up north as of yet. I can’t see how anyone would not be happy about that!! On Thanksgiving Day, we all gather to give thanks for our health and happiness, and there is an awful lot to be thankful about. But few people are thankful for flocks of ducks, like I am. If we just had more water in the Ozarks right now I would just be as tickled as a coon dog with a panful of burnt biscuits!
