Albert Jordan of Mountain Home

Albert Kenneth (A.J.) Jordan 90, of Mountain Home passed away on Friday November 18, 2022, at home with his wife and daughter by his side. Al was born December 28, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois.

Bernard Kohl of Peel

Bernard Albert (Joseph) Kohl, 87, of Peel, Arkansas, son of Fred Kohl and Amanda Agnes Czmowski Kohl Baron, succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family Friday, November 18, 2022.

Lucian King of Flippin

Lucian King, age 97, of Flippin passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, November 20, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 22, 1925, in Kingdon Springs, a son of the Robert Eli and Bell Wilson King.

Spanish Poetry Slams at UAFS

Fort Smith - Students from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith conquered stage fright to throw down in the form of poetry during the Department of World Languages’ Spanish Poetry Slam, November 10 in the UAFS Windgate Theater. More than 120 students attended the slam, many of whom participated themselves.

Christmas on the Square

Yellville music on the square is proud to present the 1st annual Christmas on the Square on December 3. Come join us from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a Christmas parade and music. We have apple cider to hand out as well. Parade starts at 3:00 p.m., with music to follow by Jukebox Winos. BSCC discusses issues facing the City

The Bull Shoals City Council (BSCC) met Thursday, November 17, at 6:30 inside Bull Shoals (BS) Courtroom to discuss items concerning city departments, financial reports and progress in the building known as the Village Mart or the “old Harps building”. Joey Grede, Daryl Lindman, Chuck Kinler, David McBee, Dr. Kirby Davenport was present to represent the city council, along with David Nixon, mayor. Dino Giannini was absent from the meeting.
