Arkansas has been developing a statewide response to the growing health crisis created by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. During the 2023 session the legislature will consider a series of proposals brought by the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Advisory Council, which was created by Act 319 of 2021.
Returning House members and newly elected members are now preparing for the upcoming session. The 2023 Regular Session will begin on January 9, at noon.

Arkansas State University - Mountain Home presents an annual Christmas Light drive-through viewing experience for the residents of Baxter and Marion Counties, as well as surrounding counties. This year, ASUMH incorporated the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, standard displays and an improved military display from colonial soldiers to soldiers from today to demonstrate the differences in the uniforms.

The Yellville Christmas Parade was held on Saturday, December 3 on the South side of the square in front of the Marion County Courthouse. The parade was the first year of what is planned to become an annual event in conjunction with Music on the Square.
