The Marion County Republican Committee will meet Thursday, January 12, 2023, upstairs in the Marion County Courthouse at 7:00 p.m. The public and members are invited to attend.
Moose Lodge hosts fish & shrimp dinner
Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold its monthly all-u-can-eat fried fish and shrimp dinner this coming Friday, January 6 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Guests may order fried fish, fried shrimp or a combination plate which also includes hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, vegetable, roll, dessert and a beverage.
USDA NCRS Accepting 2023 Applications
LITTLE ROCK – Farmers and landowners in two USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCCP) project areas in Arkansas can apply to receive assistance to implement conservation activities. The projects will offer financial assistance to landowners in fiscal year 2022.

Gas Prices in 2023 to Fall Nearly 50 Cents Per Gallon; $4 Remains Possible
BOSTON - After a tumultuous year for gas prices, some relief may be on the way in 2023. The yearly national average price of gas in 2023 is forecast to drop nearly 50 cents per gallon from that of 2022 to $3.49, according to GasBuddy’s 2023 Fuel Outlook released today.

In what turned out to be one of the less contentious meetings in the past several months, outgoing Mayor, David Nixon presided over the final 2023 meeting of the Bull Shoals City Council on December 29. With only Councilman Daryl Lindman absent, the Council convened at 6:30 p.m. and moved swiftly through the thirty-minute session.
