Arkansas Blood Institute Announces New LR Executive Director

LITTLE ROCK – Our Blood Institute is pleased to announce its new Little Rock Executive Director, Carvin Brown. Brown has been with the organization for nearly 10 years and has held multiple positions, most recently serving as the Senior Director of Inventory Management of regional operations.

We are Undisputed Champions

The Yellville-Summit Lady Panthers added another achievement to the 2022-23 basketball season by winning the 2023 2A-1 District Basketball Tournament at Eureka Springs High School. The Lady Panthers won the regular season District Championship with an 11-1 conference record and a 17-4 overall record for the season.

EF2 Tornado tracks through Southern MC

YELLVILLE - Marion County has sustained tornado damage from an EF2 Tornado early Thursday morning was confirmed by county and state officials. Damage has been reported in the Marion and Searcy County area.

Jennifer Ann Davis, age 53, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas passed away Sunday February 12, 2023 at her home after a long battle with Crohn’s Disease. Jennifer was born June 25, 1969 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to George Archer and Virginia Pearl (Aldridge) Davis. She had been employed as a medical transcriptionist. Jennifer loved cosmetology- doing her hair and makeup, and she enjoyed watching game shows. She loved to cook and eat good food. Her specialty was tacos and she loved to share with everyone. Jennifer was quickwitted and had a great personality. She enjoyed riding her favorite horse, Smokey, and she loved dogs. Jennifer is survived by her mother Virginia Davis of Bull Shoals, her brother George Steven Davis (Lynn) of Mountain Home, her sister Robin R. Rucker of Bull Shoals, her nephew Ridge Rucker (Emily), Wyatt Davis, and her niece Rachel Davis. She was preceded in death by her father, and her best friend, her King Charles Cavalier, Scooter. A Celebration of Life will be held by her family at a later date. A-State Announces List of Students Graduating

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University has announced the list of students who completed degree requirements to graduate at Fall Commencement, held Dec. 17 in First National Bank Arena. The list includes graduates from 44 states and 17 other countries.

Lady Bobcats heading to Regional Tourney

Flippin Lady Bobcats entered the 3A-1 seeded number three in the district behind Bergman and Valley Springs with an 11-3 conference record and 22-9 overall for the season. The Lady Bobcats opened the 3A-1 District Tournament playing Lincoln at West Fork High School.
