West, APRN, Joins WR Cardiovascular Clinic

Fayetteville — Desa Rae West, APRN, is now providing care for patients with heart rhythm abnormalities at Washington Regional Cardiovascular Clinic, part of the Walker Heart Institute. Before transitioning to her new role as an advanced practice provider, West served as an electrophysiology nurse in the Cardiovascular Clinic since 2022 and has five years of previous experience as a charge nurse and preceptor in Washington Regional Medical Center’s cardiac progressive unit.

AGC ARKANSAS names new VP

Little Rock - Brad Spradlin has been named the Executive Vice President of AGC Arkansas, the Arkansas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, located in Little Rock. Spradlin brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry.

YSSB expels student 1-year

The Yellville-Summit School Board met for a special Board Meeting Monday, March 6, 2023, in the Administrative Building at 5:30 p.m. Jason Jones, Robin Lee, Nathan Rogers, Eleanor Davenport, Travis Doshier were in attendance, along with Wes Henderson, superintendent and David Wyatt, High School principal.

Sowing the Seeds of Leadership

Join leaders from around the state Saturday, March 18, for the Sowing the Seeds of Leadership Workshop. The workshop is scheduled to be held at the North Little Rock Justice Center. The address is 1 Justice Center Drive in North Little Rock. Anyone wishing to attend can plan for registration to begin a 9 a.m. and the workshop to be held from 9:30 a.m. till 3 p.m. Drinks will be provided, but you will need to bring your own lunch. This event will be provided by the Leadership Committee. The Committee consists of Patricia Murray, Carol Westergren and Lisa Evridge. The motto for the event is: Great Leader Focus on the Seeds not the Flowers. Save the date and plan to attend.

State Tourney Flippin v. Fouke

Lamar - Thursday, March 2, The Flippin Lady Bobcats traveled to Lamar High School to play in the first round of the 3A State Basketball Tournament against the Fouke Lady Panthers. Flippin entered the tournament game with a record of 24-10 on the basketball season including regular and playoff action.
