Deadlines are approaching fast. The deadline for the Dave Ferguson Scholarship is February 16, and will need to be in the office by 3:00 p.m.

Baxter-Marion RWA to meet

There will be a meeting of all members of Baxter-Marion Rural Water Association on Wednesday March 27, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. All members are invited we will be discussing future plans to increase our user base.: Please come if at all possible.

An Ounce of Prevention

LITTLE ROCK – The state Division of Children and Family Services has intensified preventative services in troubled families and managed to lower the number of children in foster homes. Over the previous two years, the number of Arkansas children in foster care has gone down from 4,614 to 3,698.

Payments to the MC Collector

Carla Purdome, Marion County Collector, has reported that the Collector’s Office CAN accept credit/debit card payments IN PERSON, or on the PHONE, but NOT ONLINE until books have closed. This is standard operating procedure when rolling over to a new year.

NCAMSS to meet at Colton’s

The North Central Arkansas Military Service Sisters will be holding its February luncheon on Friday February 23, 2024, at 12 Noon. The location will be Colton’s Steak House, 2390 Highway 62E, Mountain Home.

DAV Auxiliary schedules monthly meeting

The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Twin Lakes Unit 30 will be meeting on Wednesday February 21, 2024. The location will be the Heinz-Willett Wellness Center at Good Samaritan Campus, 300 Good Samaritan Drive, Mountain Home AR.

Scholarships Available for Arkansas Students

Little Rock – Scholarships are now available for eligible Arkansas students through Arkansas Community Foundation. The Community Foundation’s scholarships are for Arkansas students pursuing education at two- or four-year colleges or universities, vocational schools or technical training programs. Each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria. Some scholarships are designated for graduates of a particular high school or those who plan to attend a particular college. Others are based on extracurricular activities or intended college majors.
