CLICK IT OR TICKET CAMPAIGN

The Arkansas law enforcement community is urging motorists to buckle up during the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) national Click It or Ticket high-visibility enforcement effort. The national seat belt campaign, which coincides with the Memorial Day holiday, runs from May 22 to June 4, 2023.

Yellville Food Closet

We are excited to tell everyone about our free summer lunch program. Yellville Food Closet will be providing free meals to all school children at the fellowship hall of Church on the Rock in Yellville.

The Marion County Quorum Court met Tuesday, May 9, in the Marion County Courthouse to discuss the agenda, including ordinances, resolutions and appointments, as well as hear the reports from the elected officials of Marion County, committees and reports from other public officials. Marion County Justices Mike Scrima, Claudia Brigham, Marty Nickels, Talon Vancuren, Rick White, Joyce McCalla, Rolin Hutching, John Reed and Wesley Shipman were in attendance; along with Jason Stumph, Marion County Judge.

NCA Military Sisters to meet

The North Central Arkansas Military Service Sisters will be holding its May luncheon on Friday May 26, 2023, at 12 Noon. Location will be The Cracked Egg at 1058 Highland Circle, Suite 8: Mountain Home.

Marion County deputies responded to eighty-three (83) calls for service, investigated two (2) vehicle crashes, completed twelve (12) incident reports, made four (4) misdemeanor and three (3) felony arrests, and served four (4) warrants.

Marion County Youth trying prepares donation of soda pop tabs

B B Bronson Bourg is a 5th grade Yellville-Summit student that wants to help any way he can. Bourg starting collecting soda pop tabs from can soda after learning these tabs can be donated to either Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House to aid children or their parents during a time of need.

Welcome back to the kitchen y’all! Since this weekend is Memorial weekend, I figured a great potluck recipe would be a must. And maybe I should do a sweet treat recipe as well as a side? The two recipes I am sharing this week are family get together must-haves. If we don’t have these at every family gathering, there are lots of disgruntled people asking where they are. You may have to double or triple these recipes depending on how many you’re feeding.
