FAYETTEVILLE - Local students were named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. To qualify for the Dean’s List, the following local students achieved at least a 3.75 grade-point average for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours.

LITTLE ROCK - The State of Arkansas lost one of its most dedicated public servants, Congressman Robert Marion Berry (1942 - 2023). From Stuttgart, Arkansas, Berry was first elected as city alderman in Gillett and later became an influential member of Congress, serving on the Veterans Affairs.

Marion was a farmer who wore his passion for Arkansas and agriculture on his sleeve. He never backed down from a fight for what was right and was a true advocate for Arkansas farmers and ranchers. EAST CAMDEN – Southern Arkansas University Tech, SAU Tech, is proud to announce the academic achievement of Tom Brown from Flippin. Tom earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Fire and Emergency Response in academic year 20222023.
The Cotter School Board met Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the district offices. Allen Franks, Jimmy Morgan, Russel Duggins, and Cameron Ross attended the meeting, along with Jayme Jones, superintendent.
