MC Budget Committee meets

by Robert Lyons Thursday, June 1, the Marion County Budget Committee met to discuss potential ordinances to be sent to the Marion County Quorum Court Meeting on Tuesday, June 13. Marty Nickels chaired the meeting in the absence of Joyce McCalla, committee chairperson.

Arkansas Mourn the Loss of Congressman Marion Berry

LITTLE ROCK - The State of Arkansas lost one of its most dedicated public servants, Congressman Robert Marion Berry (1942 - 2023). From Stuttgart, Arkansas, Berry was first elected as city alderman in Gillett and later became an influential member of Congress, serving on the Veterans Affairs.

SAU Tech announces academic achievement Brown

EAST CAMDEN – Southern Arkansas University Tech, SAU Tech, is proud to announce the academic achievement of Tom Brown from Flippin. Tom earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Fire and Emergency Response in academic year 20222023.

Cotter Board of Education

The Cotter School Board met Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the district offices. Allen Franks, Jimmy Morgan, Russel Duggins, and Cameron Ross attended the meeting, along with Jayme Jones, superintendent.
