Hello everyone, did you know that the key to someone’s heart is through their stomach? Well, honestly, I don’t know if this is true, but it is always something my momma told me, that is why she started teaching me to cook at the age of 8. I learned many of her and my grandmother’s recipes and I have done the same teaching my children how to cook, and my daughter is a fabulous cook and hopefully she will be adding some recipes for everyone to enjoy. She is a stay-athome mom of two, so she has more time to experiment and take some old recipes, add a few things and make new ones to add her own personnel touch. Little Rock- Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge issued a statement following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to stay the vaccine mandate issued by The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) which required businesses with over 100 employees to mandate vaccines for all employees. This mandate was scheduled to go into effect, January 10, 2022.

Feral pigs are widely considered to be the most destructive invasive species in the United States. They can do remarkable damage to the ecosystem, wrecking crops and hunting animals like birds and amphibians to near extinction. “Generally, an invasive species is detrimental to one crop, or are introduced into waterways and hurt the fish,” said Dale Nolte, manager of the feral swine program at the Department of Agriculture. “But feral swine are destructive across the board and impact all sectors.”

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will accept applications January 15-February 15 from hunters who want to hunt on many wildlife management areas during the 2022 Arkansas turkey season.

RUSSELLVILLE- Arkansas Tech University has announced its Dean’s List for undergraduate students on its Russellville campus for the fall 2021 semester. A student must achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher and complete at least 12 hours of college-level coursework to be named to the Dean’s List.

Little Rock- Attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced today that Navient, known as one of the nation’s largest student loan servicers, will provide relief totaling $1.85 billion to resolve allegations of widespread unfair and deceptive student loan servicing practices and abuses in originating predatory student loans. As part of the settlement, 290 eligible Arkansas consumers will receive a total of almost $7 million in loan forgiveness. This settlement, joined by a coalition of 39 attorneys general, resolves claims that since 2009, despite representing that it would help borrowers find the best repayment options for them, Navient steered struggling student loan borrowers into costly long-term forbearances instead of counseling them about the benefits of more affordable income-driven repayment plans.
