FOMCL Book and Bake sale

The Friends of the Marion County Library will have their largest Book, Bake, and Yard Sale ever on Thursday, March 17, Friday, March 18, and Saturday March 19 at the Legion Hut in Yellville. The fiction tables will be covered with mysteries, suspense, best-sellers, classics, Westerns, fantasy, dystopia, beach reads, romance, paranormal, historical fiction, poetry, and Christian fiction.

ABLE Assets See Exponential Growth Under Milligan Administration

Little Rock– Assets for the Arkansas ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) Plan grew by 76% during the past year, according to figures released Tuesday during a committee meeting for the Plan. Assets grew to more than $3 million from February 2021 through February 2022, said Treasurer of State Dennis Milligan, whose office administers the program.

Rutledge Urges the Supreme Court to Side with Coach’s Religious Freedom to Pray

LITTLE ROCK– Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge joined a 27-state coalition urging the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse a Ninth Circuit ruling that wrongly limited a high school football coach’s First Amendment rights. Coach Joseph Kennedy was disciplined for praying quietly and alone on the high school’s football field upon the conclusion of games. The school district previously implemented a policy prohibiting all religious activity by staff members in front of students or the public.

CRC Music to perform at BSTA

Bull Shoals - CRC will take the stage at the Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This band is a classic rock band from the Missouri. CRC is a recently formed band performing in Springfield, Missouri, and surrounding area. The band features a variety of classic rock and blues from various artists and eras.

Just as we are finally seeing Covid cases recede, the flu, specifically Type A Flu has begun to impact our community. Last year when we were wearing masks during the pandemic, flu cases in our state were much lower than in previous years. A stomach bug also seems to be circling town.
