Lisa is a native of Melbourne, Arkansas and is a 1990, graduate of Melbourne High School. Before attending UAMS College of Pharmacy, she completed pre-pharmacy courses at Williams Baptist College, ASU, and UCA. Following graduation from UAMS in 1996, Lisa worked in a variety of pharmacy practice settings.
Bull Shoals City Council met in regular session March 31st. In a roll call vote Council passed a motion to authorize accepting a bid of $134,925 from Atlas Asphalt to pave the first tier of streets on the list of streets to be paved. Mayor David Nixon said he will be meeting with the company representatives to get prices for paving streets on the second tier of the list. He said he does not know when paving will begin but the city is near the front of the line when asphalt becomes available. Nixon said he thinks paving will be done this summer. There are 16 streets to be paved in the first tier.
Accomplishment during first 3 years as Judge: ROAD DEPARTMENT: Built equity by allowing leases to expire and negotiating purchases of heavy equipment. Lifted rock quarry into compliance by securing all required state permits.
Bull Shoals Public Works Department has two new pickup trucks and a dump bed with hoist thanks to quick action by Bull Shoals City Council. Council met in a special meeting March 22nd to approve three resolutions authorizing the purchase one used F-450 Crew Cab pickup, one new 2022 Ram 3500 Chassis Cab pickup truck and one new Crysteel E-tipper dump body and hoist that fits the Ram 3500 pickup. In roll call votes all three resolutions were unanimously approved.
Hello friends and readers of the Mountaineer Echo, I hope this week finds you all healthy and in happy spirits. The calendar says it is Spring, but the temperature outside says different. I am ready for it to get warmer. But defiantly not ready for 100 degrees. I will take the 80’s all year long please. So, I hope everyone had a great Spring Break. We had a good one, didn’t really do too much just worked and enjoyed time with the family. This week I am giving you some recipes of Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches which I find very tasty. Also here are a few things that I love to eat with peanut butter, it is a good snack and when added with apples, celery, crackers, strawberries, it is a refreshing taste. The results will tell you what type and how much, if any, fertilizer is needed for the plants you are growing. The Gamma Eta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Arkansas State Organization received the Education Foundation Grant for $500. The grant, “Books for Good Health”, will provide over 600 books to the Marion County Health Unit.

Marion County Community Services (MCCS, Inc.) recently had a successful Irish Dinner at the Fairgrounds to raise funds for the Marion County Community Center Project. We are lucky to have the support of so many donors and over 80 in attendance and want to thank you!
We are changing this up at the Theater this week. We are slowly changing over to Friday nights, we have one more show on a Saturday night in April, then we go to Friday nights for the summer. This band is new to our stage, but they have played in the Mountain Home area.
