The Bergman Panthers and Lady Panthers traveled to Hot Springs to play for the State Championship in 3A basketball for the State of Arkansas Thursday, March 7. The Lady Panthers opened the tournament for all teams and classifications.

Robert Lyons The Yellville-Summit Panthers and Lady Panthers traveled to Greenbrier to start the 2024 track and field season in defense of their third straight State Championship. The Lady Panthers finished 6th in the early season event.

PUEBLO, COLORADO - Following expansion from 8 to 10 teams ahead of the league’s third season, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series’ 2024 event schedule was announced today.

From Class 3A: Bergman Panthers 33-10 vs Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs 26-5 Thursday, March 7, at 1:45 p.m. Bergman Lady Panthers 41-3 vs Salem Greyhounds 30-6 Thursday, March 7, at 12:00 Noon.

Robert Lyons Each year during the month of February, local high school basketball teams realize the thrill of victory of a successful season or the agony of defeat by not meeting expectations. This year, many area teams are leaving the District Tournaments and heading to the Regional Tournaments trying to advance to the State Tournament and an opportunity to win at the highest level.

Championship Saturday began at 4:00 p.m. at Greenland High School.

The event is produced by Mountain View Bluegrass Assoc., a non-profit organization, whose mission is to benefit the Music Roots Program for youth in Mountain View Public Schools.
