Things went very well for our Flippin boys golf team today at the 3A State Tournament at Glenwood Country Club. The Bobcats finished as State runner-up, squeaking out Manila for that honor by one shot. Episcopal won the team championship, while Flippin had two golfers earn All-State honors: Tucker Thompson and Cody Downs.

Fisheries biologists started creating hybrid fish years ago. It hasn’t always worked out the way they thought it would.

Friday night, the Yellville-Summit Panthers continued the road trip around the State of Arkansas in Perryville. The Panthers played the Perryville Mustangs on a night when conditions were warm and humid after daytime rains throughout the state.

Panthers fans show up in force for the team on the road Friday night in the conference opener at Perryville against the Mustangs. Unfortunately, the Panthers lost 20-0 for the first loss of the season.

The Yellville-Summit Panthers traveled to Mountainburg to play the Mountainburg Dragon Friday night at 7 p.m. The Panthers have not started a game by possessing the football first all season. This thought did not change on Friday.

Tuesday, September 5, at 7 p.m., the Yellville-Summit (Y-S) Panthers hosted the first home football game of the season by welcoming the Lighthouse Christian (LHC) Chargers into Panthers Stadium for a nonconference contest with the Panther winning 42-0.
