Women have been part of the American military narrative since the Revolutionary War, initially serving as nurses, spies, and support staff. Today, they are integral to every branch of the armed forces, serving in roles that span from combat pilots to intelligence analysts.

The names of the two (2) people who died because of the recent storms on May 26, 2024, are identified as follows: A 13-year-old juvenile of Yellville; James Victor Beck, 58 years old of Yellville; The deaths were investigated by the MCSO, who were assisted at both scenes by area first responders.

LITTLE ROCK – Attorney General Tim Griffin issued the following statement alerting consumers to a scam that has recently made its way to Arkansas: “A new texting scam has reached Arkansas. Under this ‘smishing’ scam—a combination of ‘SMS’ (texts) and ‘phishing’—scammers attempt to steal consumers’ personal information and trick consumers into handing over funds by impersonating a state toll service.
