If you have not been to the White River State Park Visitors Center and walked through the James A. Gaston Butterfly Garden, you are missing out on one of the beautiful gardens maintained by Marion County Master Gardeners. The garden was originally established in 2007, with a $5,000 grant from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Project WILD. The grant was awarded to a combination of agencies including Crooked Creek Conservation District, Arkansas State Parks, and Marion County Master Gardeners for a Butterfly Garden to teach youth of all ages about wildlife, conservation and the environment.
