Washington, DC— Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the following statement after the House passed a short-term funding extension: “Legislating by continuing resolution is far from responsible, but it keeps the government running. BSCC (Bull Shoals City Council) was called to order by Mayor Nixon, The Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag was followed by the roll call and Ms. Bailey announced we have a quorum to conduct business. In attendance were the following: Mayor David Nixon, Recorder Tina Bailey, Council Members Dino Giannini, Daryl Lind man, Joey Grede, Chuck Kinler, David McBee, and Dr. Kirby Davenport.

Work Zone Safety Campaign ‘Slow Down, Phone Down’

Submitted by Britni Padilla-Dumas Little Rock- The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), together with Arkansas State Police (ASP) and Arkansas Highway Police (AHP), announced today a new work zone safety campaign aimed at cracking down on reckless and distracted driving in work zones across the state. The Slow Down, Phone Down campaign will deploy increased ASP and AHP patrols in work zones to watch for dangerous driving.
