Washington— After repeated calls from U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, to devise a plan empowering American agricultural producers to help address the global food crisis, the U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced expanded flexibilities within the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) for participants with expiring contracts.

Washington—Congress passed bipartisan legislation Thursday to ensure families have access to formula to feed their babies. The Access to Baby Formula Act introduced by U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), ranking member of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee, and Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) was unanimously approved in the Senate. Companion legislation overwhelmingly passed the House of Representatives. The legislation will now head to the president’s desk to be signed into law.

Little Rock – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today announced a $19.2 million multistate settlement with Ford Motor Company regarding claims that Ford falsely advertised the real-world fuel economy of 2013–2014 C-Max hybrids and the payload capacity of 2011–2014 Super Duty pickup trucks. Arkansas will receive $245,765.75 from the settlement.
