Womack Awarded the Dick Trammel Good Neighbor Award

Washington, D.C. — Tonight, Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) was announced as the recipient of the “Dick Trammel Good Neighbor Award” from the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. The Dick Trammel Good Neighbor Award - the Rogers community’s highest honor - was first awarded in 1974. The award is presented each year to individuals who have contributed to the betterment of Rogers and the region.

Rogers – With severe weather predicted for much of the Missouri and Arkansas region this week, the American Red Cross wants to remind everyone of the importance of preparing your home and family in the event of severe storms, tornados, and floods. Treasurer of State Dennis Milligan Announces Milestone with Arkansas 529 Plan

Little Rock – The Arkansas 529 Education Savings Plan, established in 1999, is getting a new name to reflect the plan’s ever-evolving benefits more accurately for Arkansans. It will now be called the Arkansas Brighter Future 529 plan, Treasurer of State Dennis Milligan, whose office administers the program, announced today.

BSCC Special Meeting approves vehicle purchase

Bull Shoals Public Works Department has two new pickup trucks and a dump bed with hoist thanks to quick action by Bull Shoals City Council. Council met in a special meeting March 22nd to approve three resolutions authorizing the purchase one used F-450 Crew Cab pickup, one new 2022 Ram 3500 Chassis Cab pickup truck and one new Crysteel E-tipper dump body and hoist that fits the Ram 3500 pickup. In roll call votes all three resolutions were unanimously approved.

Mary Jane Thomas, Hawaiian Tropic model dies at the age of 58, in Jupiter, Florida, after being evacuated from a luxury hotel and spa to the hospital due to complications after a medical procedure. Mary Jane Thomas was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, by parents, Ramona and Bill, siblings, brother Andy, sister Angela.

MLK Commission set to host Nonviolence Youth Summit

Little Rock - The mission of the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, a division of the Arkansas Department of Education, is to promote and preserve the life and legacy of Dr. King in our state; and to promote the principles of nonviolence and equality among all citizens.
