MC Library Board Dissolved After Scott Arrested
By Mountain Echo Staff In a special Marion County Library Board Meeting called by Marion County Judge Jason Stumph, the board was dissolved by Judge Stumph taking only Three and half minutes to do so. There were a few MC Justices scattered in the audience, four board members, a former MC Judge and approximately 30 residents attended the open public meeting.
Wounded Warriors Heal Through Music, Comedy, and Visual Arts
The National Capital Region played host to wounded warriors from around the world participating in a weeklong event celebrating comradery and recovery—starting with the Air Force Wounded Warrior Care Fair and Day of Healing in National Harbor, Maryland, on November 18, 2024. Finding outlets to express themselves through performing and visual arts, participants performed musical overtures, comedy routines, and showcased a variety of artwork during the opening event.
Legislative Update
The Arkansas House Committee for Aging, Children and Youth, and Legislative and Military Affairs met this week and reviewed the annual report from the Department of Human Services’ Division of Children and Family Services. The report provided significant insights into the state’s foster care system during State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2024.

Meet Audrey! Audrey is a 1 ½ year old Anatolian Shepherd mix that originally came to Have A Heart in October 2023 as a four-month-old pup. She was adopted very quickly by a young couple, but they returned her to the Shelter in late September 2024.
