97 School Districts in red or purple zones on ACHI map for new covid-19 infections

Little Rock- Ninety-seven of Arkansas’s 234 contiguous public-school districts have COVID-19 infection rates of 50 or more new known infections per 10,000 district residents over a 14-day period, down from 225 last week, the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement said Thursday, citing its analysis of Arkansas Department of Health data current as of Monday.

BNR Seeks Public Comments on the Cave Mountain Road Environmental Assessment

Harrison- The National Park Service (NPS) has released an Environmental Assessment (EA) that analyzes a county and state led effort to reconstruct and repave the 1.8-mile section of Cave Mountain Road (Newton County Road 9560) that crosses Buffalo National River’s Park boundaries. The proposed project is designed to reduce environmental impacts of the current road and improve access. It is funded by the State of Arkansas with the road work to be completed by the Newton County Roads Department.
