This world lost a beautiful soul when Zelma Lea (Chatterton) Harless passed peacefully on September 4, 2022, in Summit, Arkansas, at the age of 66. Born January 24, 1956, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Munn and Marie Chatterton, Zelma grew up in California but relocated to Arkansas when her father retired from the military.

Ariel Sage Fisher, age 14, of Flippin, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ariel was born July 11, 2008, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Shaun Fisher and Vanessa Rowlette Morrison.

He graduated from Humphrey High School in 1957. He began his college education at Arkansas State Teacher’s College, now University of Central Arkansas where he finished his bachelor’s degree in Social Studies in May of 1962.

Nina Kirkland Wood, age 90, of Flippin passed away in her home August 22, 2022. She was born August 9, 1932, to Floyd and Myrtle Swan Kirkland on the family farm in the shadow of where Bull Shoals Dam now stands.

Wayne Garrett Fortman, 88, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at his residence. He was born to Kermit and June Rogers Fortman on April 28, 1934, in Kenney, Illinois.

Richard Allen Lane of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away August 14, 2022, in Lakeview at the age of 68. He was born June 14, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Donald and Loretta Lane.

Marie Weindruch, born October 17, 1947, in Rock Island, Illinois passed away August 18, 2022, in Yellville, Arkansas at the age of 74. She attended Yellville- Summit High School and then went on to earn her LPN license.
