Many businesses and organizations in Marion County achieved the honor Best of Twin Lakes while others were runner-up. Here is a list of the groups honored for 2024.

LITTLE ROCK - Sarah Soderling, of Yellville, has been named to the Fall 2024 Chancellor’s List at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. UA Little Rock recognizes superior academic performance at the end of each semester.

Ozark Society (OS) is accepting applications for Youth Engagement Grants from nonprofit organizations and schools with projects that take place in the region where the Ozark Society is active. Projects must involve elementary or secondary school-aged youth in handson conservation activities or environmental engagement.

LITTLE ROCK - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced the students who have been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2024 semester. To be on the Dean’s List, UA Little Rock students must earn at least nine credit hours and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. The Dean’s List recognized nearly 1,315 students with superior academic performances at the end of the semester.

LITTLE ROCK — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the following appointments: Lorrie McClure, Batesville, to the Arkansas Early Childhood Commission. Term to expire June 30, 2026. Replaces Mark Taylor.
