Round one is done. Ten Yellville-Summit High School students have tasted public speaking, maybe for their first time. In the process, they, as well as their supporting families, and members of Yellville’s American Legion Post 61 have learned more about the founding document of our country’s government.

The Marion County Election Commission is actively seeking individuals who would like to become POLL WORKERS. Being a poll worker is a great way to serve your community, meet other people and make new acquaintances, to learn how an election is conducted and earn some pay along the way.

Each year the local high schools play Holiday Basketball Tournaments throughout the state. Bergman, Yellville-Summit, Flippin, Ozark Mountain, and Lead Hill played in Ozark, Calico Rock and Highland.
