On January 10 and 11, Arkansas saw Winter Storm Cora blow through the state and dump large amounts of wet snow covering the landscape with a fresh white blanket of snow that was a welcome sight for children from Southeast to Northwest Arkansas. Sam Strasner, Director of University Relations RUSSELLVILLE -- Arkansas Tech University has announced its President’s List and Dean’s List for undergraduate students on its Russellville campus for the fall 2024 semester. A student must record a 3.5 grade point average or higher and complete at least 12 hours of college-level coursework to be named to the Dean’s List.

The Veterans History Project, an initiative of the Library of Congress’s American Folklife Center, is marking its 25th year collecting and retaining the oral histories of our nation’s veterans. One of Boozman’s latest submissions recognized the service and sacrifice of Fort Smith resident Clyde Gudermuth, a veteran of the U.S.

During the archery season in September, a hunter killed a young buck just west of Highway 63 between Houston and Licking Missouri. It looked healthy but testing showed it to be infected with TSE, (Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy).

Alice Stewart, 58, Alexandria, Virginia., May 18. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Stewart held a degree in broadcast news and political science from the University of Georgia.

The featured cat is a youngster named Enzo. He arrived late last September when he was found dumped near a couple’s home. He is about 7 months old now and is a very sweet black and white tuxedo. He is not too vocal and gets along with the others in the Cattery. We’re not sure how he is with dogs.
