Y-S WINS 2022 DISTRICT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP
The Yellville-Summit (Y-S) Boys and Girls track teams competed at the District Track Meet at Eureka Springs High School and were crowned champions on Wednesday, April 27. Kambree Gibson (Y-S) earned the honors as the High-Point award for the Girls competition, while Lucas McVay (Y-S) captured the honor for the High-Point award for the Boys.
Rutledge Urges Congress to Pass the Public Safety Support Act 2022
LITTLE ROCK- Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, along with a bipartisan coalition of 53 attorneys general, is urging Congress to pass The Public Safety Officer Support Act of 2022. The legislation addresses gaps in support for public safety officers who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) associated with the high-risk nature of their jobs.

The Life and Times of a Small-Town Arkansas Girl
Back in the day (in this case the 1960s), every kid needed a best buddy, especially in a small rural town like Flippin. A partner-in-crime, a ride-ordie, a sidekick to help navigate the “mean streets” of Flippin. (Wow, how many cliches can I include in one sentence? Evidently, at least four.) Of course, all of this is tongue-in-cheek. In the Flippin of the 1960s, crime was virtually non-existent, the streets were kind and peaceful, and my friends and I were pretty good kids.
