Nehemiah Persoff Dies at 102 Years of Age

Nehemiah Persoff was born on August 2, 1919 and died on April 5, 2022. He died due to heart failure at 102 years of age. He was born to Shmuel Persov and Puah Persov. He was born in Jerusalem. His Siblings are Brother of Boaz Persoff; Avraham Persov; Tamar Trakhtman-Tamir and Geula (Julia) Persov. He married Thia Persov, in 1951, she died in 2021 due to cancer. They had four children; Dahlia Persof, Dan Deckel Persoff, Jeffrey Jhonatan Persoff, Perry Erez Persoff.

Frog Bayou and Ozark Lake WMAs reopened

ALMA – Due to the lack of available pilots, this week’s U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Wildlife Service aerial operations at Frog Bayou and Ozark Lake wildlife management areas (WMA’s)have been suspended. The operations are part of a program aimed at reducing feral hog populations in the areas.

Farm Bureau Ribbon Cutting

On Friday, April 1, Farm Bureau of Marion County officially opened the new satellite office in Bull Shoals located immediately next door to the Bull Shoals White River Chamber of Commerce (BSWRCC). The event was celebrated with a ribbon cutting, hotdogs and refreshments along with a tour of the new offices for residents of Bull Shoals and Marion County.
