Mountain Home – In order to meet an ongoing shortage of healthcare providers in our community, Baxter Regional has partnered with Arkansas State University-Mountain Home to provide an opportunity for students to begin their paramedic or nursing careers. The partnership was announced by the organizations’ leaders to expand the college’s current Paramedic Program and LPN (licensed practical nurse) program to provide students with financial support as they complete their coursework. The program’s goal is to broaden the paramedic and nursing pool in this community while providing cutting-edge educational opportunities to students attending ASUMH.

WASHINGTON––Amid National Drug Court Month and on the heels of news a record number of Americans died of drug overdoses last year, U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) is highlighting the efficacy of drug courts to successfully treat substance use disorders, leading participants into recovery and out of the justice system.

Bentonville, Arkansas – A new hotel is coming to the core of Downtown Bentonville, serving business and leisure travelers in true Northwest Arkansas style. This new, independent hotel is complete with a variety of amenities and services to support the visitors and the Bentonville community. The hotel is tentatively scheduled to begin operations in Summer 2024. The development of the hotel was first announced in June 2018.

WASHINGTON–– The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday passed bipartisan legislation championed by U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) to strengthen oversight at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The legislation now heads to the president’s desk to be signed into law.

Harrison – Throughout the week of May 16, 2022, Buffalo National River staff partnered with municipal and state agencies to respond quickly and professionally to multiple emergency incidents that occurred within the park. Emergency services personnel reacted swiftly and decisively while at times responding to multiple incidents occurring at once.
