AG Rutledge Urges TikTok and Snapchat to Give Parents More Control

LITTLE ROCK – This week, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge and a coalition of 44 attorneys general urged TikTok and Snapchat to give parents the ability to monitor their children’s social media usage and protect their children from online threats through parental control apps. These apps would empower parents to ensure that social media platforms are a safe space for their children.

Born too Late

Bought some fishing line at Walmart the other day and took it up to that place where they have computers which you are supposed to operate on your own so they can hire fewer people. I ask a lady if she would help me run one so I could pay for the fishing line and get a receipt letting me know the price was the same at the counter as it was where I found it. (Walmart make a lot of money from people who don’t look at receipts.) I told her I don’t fiddle with computers, and she laughed at me, saying that her grandkids were computer experts, and they weren’t twelve years old. That kind of hit me wrong. I don’t take well to being made light of, though it happens often. Nobody needs to tell me I was born 100 years later than I was s’pose to be.

LITTLE ROCK - Members of the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) and the Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment (E&E) will gather for a media event at 10 a.m. Friday, April 8 at ARDOT’s Equipment and Procurement building to showcase the new, lower emissions trucks purchased using State Agency Fleet Emissions Reduction (SAFER) Grant funding.
