FORT SMITH, Ark. – May 5, 2022 – The University of Arkansas–Fort Smith (UAFS) and Regions Bank today announced a community partnership designed to bring higher education within reach for students facing economic challenges.

Mickey Gilley was born to Arthur Fillmore Gilley and Irene née Lewis Gilley in Natchez, Mississippi. Gilley’s first wife was Geraldine Garrett, whom he married in 1953, at 17 years old; they divorced in 1961. She was the mother of three of his four children; Keith Ray, Michael, and Kathy. Gilley’s second wife, whom he married in 1962, was Vivian McDonald, together they have a son, Gregory. Mickey and Cindy Loeb, his longtime friend and business associate, were married in June 2020.
